MICS provides a completely scalable platform to support the real-time deployment of tactical networks, sensor, communications, situational awareness (SA) and command and control (C2) tasking capabilities

Tactical network
Supports ‘full office’ capabilities for deployed command and headquarters staff users through a modular IP-based system comprising deployable servers, routers and switches. The tactical network supports mission critical applications and real time C2/SA between command levels for the tasking of patrols based on sensor activation and information. The tactical network supports an open IP interface and connection to existing or deployed infrastructure e.g. SATCOM.

Communications Interoperability Gateway
Supports interoperability and connectivity of radio, telephony and data systems, and interface to existing and future communications infrastructure, including, but not limited to HF, VHF, UHF, tactical networks, telephony and SATCOM/ microwave communication networks.

Brigade-in-a-Box
Rapidly deployable, tactical system facilitating integrated voice and data communications for ground-based operations. Easy-to-deploy and manage for tactical headquarters and maneuver-level users Seamless integration between tactical and strategic communications networks - command and headquarters voice, data and video networks extended to the tactical edge

Sensor-to-Soldier
Commercial off-the-shelf hardware and software using industry-standard IP-based technology. Support for mission critical applications and real time common operational picture (COP) - peer-to-peer C2/SA topology between command levels and deployed teams providing overlay of enterprise data with real-time tactical information, critical to mission coordination. Deployed communications infrastructure supports an integrated wide area, deployed unattended ground sensor (UGS) and C2 tasking system providing real-time sensor-to-soldier connectivity.
